It’s been a season of change around here at Just Us Four. The blog got a new look, we started off the month with two great giveaways (here and here) and we even had our first guest blogger! Pretty good start to November right?
During all of this planning and changing up things here at Just Us Four, I got to really thinking about how I needed a change too. Ever since Baby E was born, I’ve talked a lot about losing weight and just overall living a healthier lifestyle. I spent some time doing Weight Watchers and it was great while I was on it. Then, I got lazy about counting the points and paying attention to what I eat. I also don’t seem to find enough time to exercise like I should…if only there were about 8 more hours in a day!

I’m not one of those people to go on a major juice fast or start taking a bunch of random diet pills. I tend to prefer a healthier approach to weight loss…a weight loss plan that values practicality and safety over fast results. In my standard research fashion, I googled “healthy weight loss” and came up with a few hits that seemed healthy (and practical!): Weight Watchers (duh!), Chattanooga Weight Loss and the South Beach Diet.
I can relate to your feelings about needing change. Love the blog look too!

Hi nice to meet u! My name is Evelyn and i saw you over at Vintage Gwen. I can relate. My husband and I just joined the gym. Life is crazy but we gotta be able to fit exercise in our lives somehow. even if it's at home :) I don't know if you've ever heard about a book called Skinny Chicks Don't Eat Salads? It's an amazing book written by Christine Avanti. She's a very famous nutritionist in L.A. I would explain the book to u but i would i can't explain things all that well. LOL It's basically eating every 4 hours and sticking to what she calls a PC Combo. Protein, a carb and a healthy fat at every meal. She talks about how carbs aren't the enemy at all even though that's how they've portrayed them to be. We need the PC Combo to stabilize our blood sugar and therefore lose weight the right way. anyways you should check it out! It's a great book and a real eye opener :)
