Why I own 50+ Sweaters (and still want more!)

[My Life Stream]
I was working on my Christmas list the other day and noticed the bulk of the clothing items on it are sweaters! There are cardigans, cowl necks, scoop necks and v-necks. I already have a dressers worth of sweaters and more so it isn't like I am lacking in that department!  H's list is on the same page and I noticed that I had put several sweaters on hers too.  I guess I am inflicting my sweater addiction on my 4 year old.
Seriously though, why do I own so many sweaters and still want more?  (Yes, Mathlete, I am reading your mind right now!)

First and foremost:  Warmth.  Once winter comes, I get cold (a lot!) and find it hard to stay warm.  This is especially true in my meat locker of an office.  Sweaters are the ultimate solution for this.  Plus, I can layer them with things like lace camisoles or collared shirts to keep me warmer but still have an element of style.

Second:  Practicality:  I work in an office that is pretty conservative.  We aren't a suits everyday type office (at least for the women) but sweaters allow me to dress appropriately without having to wear a jacket each day.

Finally:  Sweaters are just so darn cute!  Have you seen some of the gorgeous women's sweaters out for this season?  They have everything from dressy sweaters to throw on for a holiday party to thick, cozy sweaters for lounging around at home.
So, do you have a clothing item that you just can't get enough of?  Own 200 pairs of shoes?  Or maybe you have 50 white t-shirts?  Spill it in the comments so I won't feel like such a sweater hoarder.

  1. wow 50! I only have like maybe 10 but I sure would like 50!
Maybe my addiction is black clothing, almost everything I buy is black, from shoes, to dresses to tops & sadly I have started buying my daughter black stuff too and I shouldn't cause black is such a sad color for a 2 year old to wear! lol
