Getting Carded

One of my favorite things this time of year is getting the mail.  Why?  Christmas cards!  We are so fortunate to have friends and family who take the time to send us a card each year.  So, of course, we want to display them!   This year, I decided to make a card display.
The supplies:
  • A backless wood picture frame
  • Paint
  • Ribbon
  • Staple gun
First up, paint the unfinished backless wood frame.
I used red and did two coats.  Honestly, in pictures, you can't really tell the difference but, in person, it is noticeable.
Once the paint is dry, flip that baby over and get ready to attach your ribbon.  At this point, I enlisted Mathlete as my ribbon holder to make sure it was pulled tight.
Position the ribbon and staple it on the back of the frame with any separation you like.  Since Mathlete was helping, mine had to stay pretty even so his head didn't explode.
Then, flip it back over and add cards!
I used little Santa clothespins {leftover from the Advent calendar project} to clip on the flat cards we received.
Merry Christmas!
