Why does it have to be so windy?

So, on my to-do list for fall and Christmas, I have about half a dozen projects that require spray paint.  The problem:

Yes, wind.  Just about any day I have available to actually spray paint it is too darn windy!  I finally gave up the dreams of spray painted and broke out the ole paint brush.
In June, we took a beach vacation (relive it here, here and here).  While we were there, Junior and I escaped for thrift store shopping.  It was there that I stumbled upon these wooden lanterns

Clearly, they have seen either a lot of weather or not enough paint.  They were only about $1 each (I got 4) so I can't complain. I wanted to change the color to something a little more traditional so I picked up some green spray paint.  With the weather challenges, I was forced to switch it up though and pulled out my festive green acrylic paint.
I don't really have many pictures of the process because I left the camera in the car (as you can see here)

I just used a small brush inside the little parts of the star and tree and then a regular cheap sponge brush on the rest.  I did two coats to make sure they were good and covered.

Much more like Christmas!  And with a total cost of less than $5 for all 4 ($1 for each + $.59 bottle of paint), even Mathlete can't complain!
